With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

1 Corinthians 12: 13
By means of His one Spirit, we all said good-bye to our partial and piecemeal lives. We each used to independently call our own shots, but then we entered into a large and integrated life in which He has the final say in everything. (This is what we proclaimed in word and action when we were baptized.) Each of us is now a part of His resurrection body, refreshed and sustained at one fountain--His Spirit--where we all come to drink. The old labels we once used to identify ourselves--labels like Jew or Greek, slave or free--are no longer useful. We need something larger, more comprehensive. (The Message)

Expansion
One of the warriors of old made this statement: "The purpose of war is victory, and the purpose of victory is occupation." In the Kingdom, we add one more step to the process: The purpose of occupation is expansion.
The Lord would not give the Promised Land to Israel all at once because they did not have the ability to occupy all of the territory. By only giving them the amount of land they could occupy, He positioned them for expansion. Expansion is vital to advancing the Kingdom of Heaven. The man who was given the one talent and buried it simply occupied and protected that accomplishment but suffered tremendously because he did not take what he had and position it for increase (Matthew 25:15-28).
It's important that we view life with the perspective of expansion and forward motion. When we think this way, we are positioning ourselves for increase and promotion. It's not healthy to simply find a place you want to stay in and occupy. The moment you have found a leveling-off place is the moment you begin backsliding.
When your passion begins to decline, you already start to die. You were born to burn. Elisha came to the king and said, "Please strike the ground with these arrows." And he struck the ground three times. The prophet became furious at the king and said, "If only you had struck the ground five or six times you would have annihilated the enemy, but now you're only going to have three temporary victories." Because the king did not live out of passion, he couldn't carry the anointing that God wanted to give him, and it cost the nation. When leaders don't have passion, it costs everyone who follows.
Passion and the anointing run in parallel courses. A person with passion will take risks. Everything you want in the realm of the Kingdom is found through this veil of difficulty by stepping into the realm of inconvenience. You don't get it by coasting on yesterday's breakthrough. You were born for expansion.
Bill Johnson

Word for Today
I was given this at a conference back in the early '80s and have written it on the
front flap of every new Bible I have gotten since then. These really will change you.
Five Prayers That Will Change Your Life:
1. "O, God, slay me."
2. "Cleanse me by Your blood."
3. "Fill me with Your Holy Spirit."
4. "Lead me today."
5. "Use me."
Pray these daily. They will change your life.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)
I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. Luke 10:19
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Rom 12:21 KJV
We are not of this world but we are in this world and we do have an obligation to steward it well.

Ordering your day requires the ability to prioritize. It requires the ability to discern what is distracting busywork and what is Kingdom business. Effective time management requires getting God's heart on what is worth "investing" time in versus what we should not be "spending" or even "wasting" time on. As with any financial investment, you must ask what kind of return your time investments are yielding. Time "spent" is a cost—and you must be mindful of the benefit you are exchanging for the cost you are incurring.

Hebrews 10:36 says, "For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise."
Endurance is the key to receiving the promise. So often we "jump ship" when things get hard. We often criticize what we don't understand and make rash decisions that further delay the work in our lives. God is after something in us. He wants to perfect our character and walk with Him so our walk will not be shaken when the winds and waves hit our house.
Endurance produces proven character and proven character is moral and ethical strength that is noticed by others. It is a mind-and heart-resolve that will not yield to wrongdoing even when no one is looking. It is a built-in attribute that defines us; and proven character is a life stone that attracts God's favor and anointing. This attribute produces hope that does not disappoint.

What? Me, worry? No!
As Believers, we have the Spirit of God within us. We have full access to His divine wisdom.
"But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message (on His own authority); but He will tell whatever He hears (from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him), and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come (that will happen in the future)."—John 16:13 (Amplified Bible)
God's promises: the Spirit of truth will guide us and show us things to come.

We are called as fishers of men.
Mark 1:16-20; Matthew 4:18-22; Luke 5:1-11
On one occasion, while the crowd was pressing in on Him to hear the word of God, He was standing by the Sea of Galilee. 2 He saw two boats by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets. 3 Getting into Simon’s boat, He asked him to put out a little from the land. Setting down He taught the people from the boat. 4 When He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, "Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." 5 Simon answered, "Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets." 6 When they had done this, they caught a large number of fish, and their nets were breaking. 7 They called to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. They came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. 8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' feet, saying, "Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord." 9 For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish that they had taken, 10 and so were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men." 11 When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed Him.

God’s Presence
God is calling us into His presence for the purpose of friendship. When Moses encountered the Lord in Exodus 33:11, it says that God spoke with him face to face, like a man speaks to his friend. It's possible to know God intimately like Moses did, and speak to Him face to face. The choice is ours; how will we respond to the call of God to come higher? Shall we sit idle and turn a deaf ear to the Lord? Or rather, like Moses, shall we rise up and climb higher into new realms of His Glory?

The Azusa Street revivalist, William J. Seymour, prophesied in 1909
that within 100 years there would be a release of the Shekinah Glory
of God that would burn brighter than it did during the Azusa Street Revival.
During that revival there were incredible miracles—like limbs growing out! God is preparing the Body of Christ to shine with this glory that the nations would see and come to the brightness of our rising! Isaiah 60 says that His glory will be seen upon us! Let’s shine with His Glory. Get ready for the suddenlies of God!

As we seek to navigate through the times we are in, it is so important for God's people to engage like never before into the divine nature of Father. His ways are so pure and so clear that it shakes every foundation that gets in the way. Father's divine qualities test the intentions of every heart, and bring standards to the daily choices of every life, regardless of whether or not they are conscious of His inescapable presence. As we discover through the Word of God the supreme qualities of God's divine nature, we see a God who is absolute truth and absolute love—absolutely.

By moving from just learning more information to experiencing life together, we mature. This happens best in the context of strong relationships. We receive impartation by association. We need each other. This growth occurs when we allow God’s word and God’s leaders and our mature fellow believers to impact us and to influence us, personally and mutually. It is a group hug, wrapped in loving-kindness. We need to live out our faith in fellowship with one another. That’s way I value small group meetings.

Even though we have found "The Way," we are often not living "His way," because we have created "our own way" and put His name on it.
The best assurance we have of living as Christ to the world is to live every moment consciously in His presence. To live in His presence more fully is to die to ourselves by exchanging our life for His agape life. We must pursue Him with all that we are to partake of His divine nature, and get back to living in His divine intentions. As we do, we become co-creators with Him so that His Kingdom comes to the earth in powerfully relevant ways all around us. As His presence captures our own hearts for Him and for others, we will begin to see the supernatural release of His glory.

The word "cast" literally means to "throw with force." As we walk through these difficult times, we must learn to cast our care on Him because He cares for us. There are things we are asked to deal with and there are things that are out of our hands to "fix." If we don't have the ability to "fix" something, then we must release it to the Lord and let Him take care of it. If we are weighed down with the cares of this life, we will fall under the pressure. Our hope and strength come from God, and His strength is made perfect in our weakness. This dependency on God must be established in these days.

Romans 5:1-6: "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God. "And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly."
If we understand why we are going through what we are going through, then we have strength and courage to go through it. Paul wrote, "I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might" (Eph. 1:18-19).
If you are a Christian, there is a power accompanying your life that is greater than great---the "surpassing greatness of His power." It is not human power, but the actual "strength of His might."
The power of God's might is His resurrection power. What does resurrection mean? It means that things which look dead, smell dead, and act dead, can be touched by God and raised to life!
God demonstrated this "power toward us who believe" first "in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places" (Eph. 1:19, 20).
Right now, you have resurrection power attached to your prayer life! You can look on things that are absolutely dead and pray forth eternal LIFE! The power in us is the same potency God demonstrated when He raised Jesus out of the grave; it is resurrection power. Our mission is to bring resurrection life to situations that are dead.

We can look at the conditions of the world and faint or look at the possibilities of God and take faith. To bring revival is to pray for the reality of God's kingdom to manifest on earth. Jesus was not offering His disciples a millennial prayer focus, for that rule of God's kingdom is coming whether we want it to or not! No, but Christ calls us to pray for God's kingdom to manifest in our world today.

Word for Today
God is our Father, He is tender, He is gentle, and He does not leave us without help. His children are being prepared to walk without roots of fear ruling in their hearts and lives. We must respond to His love—both the love that carries us and the love that corrects us. Join me in fasting from every action that is based in fear. Let us allow Him to pull up every root of fear that ushers us into controlling, manipulative and frantic behaviors. He truly is our peace and we must trust Him even when we don't see any light at the end of the tunnel. Don't light your own torch even when all you see is darkness. It is not dark to Him.
"If I say, 'Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,' even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you." Psalm 139:11-12

I have learned that there is something about resisting envy and doing the opposite of what envy would have us to do that truly pleases God and brings a special measure of favor from Him. Tommy Tenney likes to say, “One moment of the favor of God is worth a lifetime of effort.” I believe this is sound biblical truth, and resisting envy seems to quickly bring God’s favor. The kingdom is built on the grace and favor of God.

If we can understand that God is not within our time-table—He is not bound by time—all that He has poured out in our time-table throughout history is accessible. Then we can enter into this glory through the Spirit. There are treasuries of anointings, gifts and glory that are available to us in Heaven. The Lord has these treasures available. He is looking and longing for a people who are hungry enough to access these things. He is searching for a people that have a burning desire for Him and His Realm.
"For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly."—Psalm 84:11

JESUS WENT ABOUT DOING GOOD TO PEOPLE. AS A RESULT HEALINGS AND MIRACLES HAPPENED!
Acts 10:38, "God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with Holy Spirit and power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him."
Lately, as I've read this verse, the words "doing good" jumped out at me. Imagine Jesus being filled with Holy Spirit and power and all He wants to do with all that power is to just walk around "doing good" to people! It sounds like healing and miracles were not the first thing on His mind. Of course, healings and miracles took place, but it was the result of His love and compassion to help people.
His passion was people, not healings or miracles. Whatever it took to do good to people would then take place, even if it took a miracle or healing, for He wanted to do them good! Signs and wonders followed Him as His compassion moved Him towards people. It seems that "doing good" things, which included practical things like holding children in His arms, eating with publicans and sinners, and letting a prostitute wash his dirty feet, often released revelation that others needed to experience the supernatural.

What an exciting time to be alive as the Church walks out Isaiah 60:1—arising and shining. What a marvelous season for the Body of Christ to unwrap heavenly gifts from our heavenly Father. In this hour, we must eagerly seek and operate in all the supernatural gifts. We will see an accentuation of the nine spiritual gifts (see 1 Corinthians 12) and great manifestations of the nine spiritual fruits (see Galatians 5:22-23) in 2009.
As we open our gifts, like sons and daughters at Christmastime, we must run with them outside the four walls of the church and share them with the world. Of course, they must be accompanied by love or we will just be clanging cymbals in the streets and marketplaces.

God did not haphazardly put you here on this earth without a plan (see Proverbs 3:6). He has a future for you. He didn't just save you and then throw you into some strange predicament and say, "Good luck, I hope you make it." You were not just accidentally dropped here due to some cosmic misunderstanding. You are here on purpose.
"I know the plans I have for you; they are plans for good, not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."—Jeremiah 29:11

When the Lord looks down on a city, He only sees one church, and all of the congregations are members of the one body. If we are in a place where there are multiple churches, most local congregations will specialize and become strong in a certain aspect of ministry. For example, one might be strong in teaching the fundamentals, one in healing, another in evangelism, another in prophecy and guidance, and another in family ministry, and so forth. How much healthier would the body be if the churches all saw themselves as part of a greater whole, and for the sake of the members, sent them to the one that could help them the most where they needed it? If we trusted the Holy Spirit this way, unity would grow in the body in such a way that the whole world would start to marvel at it and maybe believe the gospel we preach about the love of God.

There is a great transition happening in the Body of Christ. We are moving from doing signs and wonders to becoming a supernatural community. Malachi spoke of this epoch season change when he prophesied that the nature of the last day’s prophetic ministry would restore families by bridging the generation gap. He concludes his thoughts by telling us that the synergy from this prophetic momentum would destroy the curses over our land.

We are in a time of great Transition, and by the word of the Lord I say to you, Don’t give up! Transition is the state of being changed from one state of being to another or one place to another! We will continually go from Glory to Glory, and Strength to Strength! We are learning to subdue our enemies! Let God be true and every man and every circumstance be a liar! Don’t be moved by what you see happening around you! Scripture declares that these things are temporary and subject to immediate change! If God said it, He meant it! Hold fast to your promise, and Fight the Good Fight of Faith!
Do not doubt in the dark world what God has spoken to you in the light of His glorious presence!

Love is more than just having good feelings toward someone. Love is practical and maintains its noble character when it would be more advantageous not to. Love endures difficulties and remains even when the love is not returned. Love is not based on circumstances or the hope of reward, but on a nature that is joined to God’s nature.

Matt 20:22-23
Jesus said to them. "Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?"
"We can," they answered.
Jesus said to them, "You will indeed drink from My cup…
Amazingly, they said to Him, "We can." In truth, they hadn't any idea of the price that was to be paid. It was only pride, ignorance and ambition talking. Yet, listen to how Jesus answered them: "You will indeed drink from My cup…" Hear this, you who desire true spiritual fulfillment. Jesus was telling them, I cannot fulfill your ambitions. I can only show you how to die. Yet, even in their immaturity, Jesus knew they would overcome. They would outgrow human ambition and become great examples for us. And we too shall drink His cup.
