Word for Today
"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled." 2 Corinthians 10:3-6
Since our weapons (and therefore our victory) are not found in the natural realm of "flesh and blood," our enemy, the devil, will try as often as he can to get us into the natural or fleshly mode of battle and struggle. The most effective way for you and me to put our flesh in its place and walk in the spirit is to fast and pray. If the Son of God fasted and prayed for power in His ministry, why should you and I think we are exempt from these things?

Fasting
I want you to see that fasting helps release the power of the Spirit in our lives. It doesn't necessarily help you "earn" more grace from God, but it facilitates the freer flow of the Holy Spirit through you by dissolving and removing all the junk in your life. This can only be accomplished through times of fasting and prayer.
If you give yourself to the Lord in a life that's committed to prayer and to fasting, His anointing will begin to flow through you in greater and greater power. These things are the "first works" we are called to do if we want to do the works of Jesus Christ. The initial or first work of Jesus before He went into His ministry in the power of the Spirit was to fast and wage spiritual warfare in prayer and the Word. Mahesh Chavda

Move Beyond the In-filling Into the Power of the Spirit
Jesus Christ showed us the way and personally modeled it for us. Being filled with the Spirit does not make you ready to move into the fullness of your calling in power. We need to submit to the discipline of the Holy Spirit, and during that time frame God will disciple us in the crucial works of prayer, fasting, and the skillful use of His Word as a weapon. Then we will go forth in the power of the Spirit to do God's will. Mahesh Chavda

God Said: "Instead of Thinking You are Failing, Dwell on How Much I Love You"
"This is a truth that must be grasped by all of My children or they will never be able to truly be free. It saddens Me that many of My children say, 'God loves me,' but haven't truly accepted it. When you know you are loved by Me, there is a great freedom, a joy, and a sense of 'No matter what happens to me, I will be OK.' My Son did not say the truth will set you free. He said, 'You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free' (John 8:32).
"You are greatly loved, more so than you could ever comprehend. Each of My children will enter their mansion (John 14:2) accepted in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:6). I have received you as a son/daughter, period. Stop looking at your imperfections and study My Word to see how much I love you (Romans 8:35-39). I think of you affectionately every day."

Unity Will Come from the Joining of Generations
I believe the unity we have been longing for in the Body of Christ will come from the joining of generations. The younger generation is not that impressed or concerned with doctrinal distinctions. In fact, they are looking for fathers and mothers—not just denominational structures—to bring stability and security to their lives.
This is exactly where we need to be - to begin to focus on being sons and daughters of God instead of ministers with a title. It's not wrong to identify that one is an apostle, prophet, etc, but what we really need is community and a loving family of people who understand and live in covenant love.
The Holy Spirit is turning hearts and restoring the main and plain to take us to a level of the manifestation of the Kingdom far beyond what we have ever seen just through faith in our faith. We are about to encounter the Father. And when we do, like sons of God and sons of man, we will see the glory of God manifest in signs and wonders more than what we have ever fasted and prayed for.
The love Jesus spoke about in John 17 will release a glory that makes the impossible possible and will draw people to Jesus who would never have considered Him before. We will suddenly begin to love each other in the Body of Christ and wonder how it could be after all of our vain efforts to tolerate each other.
Get ready for an explosion of glory in 2009 in miracles of restoration.

Word for Today
Right now the typical Christian financial counsel would be to get out of debt and prepare for the worst by setting aside some provisions (financial or otherwise). I want to suggest something different. This season represents the opportunity of a lifetime for both ministry and business opportunities and investment returns. Adopt the view that the future is partially open and that God is not behind the scenes orchestrating disasters. He's looking for men and women that will rise up and make a difference in every mountain and actually shape the future according to Godly purposes. The enemy would like us to withdraw from our society in fear, but the Holy Spirit is inviting us to possess our inheritance and experience the most fruitful period of our lives. If you can see them, opportunities are all around waiting for us to take initiative. John Garfield

Word for Today
Our salvation and future are so secure that we're not trying to save our lives, we're trying to spend them for maximum Kingdom impact so that we multiply in every area. We're not suicide bombers, we are conquerors having fun... more than conquerors, we're deliverers that set captives free into the same jail-break kind of liberty we live in every day. When we face a tough situation or even a defeat, we tap the power of His resurrection and come out smelling like a rose. We are God's means of shaping the future in His image.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. Matt 16:25 NIV
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Rom 8:37 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Rom 8:28 NASU
Think about it - you can't kill a Christian! This must be discouraging for the enemy? He can't even inflict a permanent setback.
The seventy-two returned with joy and said, "Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name." 18 He replied, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. Luke 10:17-19 NIV

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.
"Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline and do not resent His rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those He loves, as a father the son He delights in." Proverbs 3:5-12

"The key to revival is the restoration of family."
America needs a national awakening of the love and power of God to hit our families, communities and nation on every level. Useless religious fervor, tradition and thinking must fall by the wayside and be replaced with radical love and grace that flows from the foot of the Cross of Christ. Until we realize that we are in need of redemption and begin to build cultures of grace and love in our Christian families and churches, we cannot hope to bring freedom to the masses needing to get a revelation of Jesus' redemptive power. It's time for a new wineskin. I don't mean just new structures and networks but a covering that can contain a new level of love and grace that will embrace the broken of the broken—in and out of the Church.

God expressed His goodness through Jesus Christ – who took stripes so I can be healed, who became poor with my poverty so I could live in His abundance, who was punished with my punishment so I could walk in His forgiveness, who became sin with my sin so that I became righteous in God’s sight, who was cursed with my curses so that I could live in His blessing, who took my shame so I could walk in His glory, and who took my rejection so I could live in continual acceptance by the Father.

This is a time to intensify our worship, to diligently focus on and celebrate the Lord's glory and strength, to reach out to those increasingly fearful in the world with power, signs and wonders—and to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that in the midst of the flood, He remains the sovereign King ruling over it. Do this and He will strengthen us and grant us peace in the midst of turmoil.

Daily Declaration
God has planned for me to be utterly invincible to satan’s attack. God has by no means planned defeat for me. I am unconquerable, clothed in His righteousness and covered by His love. The same immeasurable, unlimited power of Almighty God that raised Christ from the dead is at work within me to overcome every evil.

"I am about to do a new move," says the Lord, "for you will have people come to you once again who are hungry to get saved. You will have people coming again asking where is His power resting?" He says, "It will be resting upon you. I will come in a new wave and in a new visitation of My presence. For I have seen your hearts that are searching and I have seen the wounds that have been left gaping and bleeding by the words and the curses of man." He says, "I am going to bind up the wounds, and in the process I am going to deposit within that wound: healing virtue of hope. I will deposit within that wound - supernatural healing." Eileen Fisher

Word for Today
Holy Spirit is inviting the body of Christ to rise up and enter into a time of exuberant revelation and a more intimate relationship with Him. Every one of us can enter into a place where we can receive revelation and hear from Him every day just as the Israelites received fresh manna every day. Some of you understand this but you don't believe that you are able to achieve it for yourself. There is an open door to come up higher. Holy Spirit wants to take us into higher dimensions of knowing Him, being led by Him and being used by Him.
